Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term. Last half term finished with a fun run for the children which was organised by Mrs Reddish. We are raising funds to purchase a defibrillator for school. When the money has all been collected we will let you know the total amount. Thankyou all for your generous contributions and to Mrs Reddish for organising a great afternoon of fresh air, exercise and good fun.
We have made changes to the school lunch break for the children starting on the 6th November. We will be providing lots of activities on the playground to encourage all the children to have an active lunch break and increase their daily physical activity.
Many visits and visitors have been organised for the children this half term leading up to the Christmas celebrations at the end of the term.
Every school day matters so please ensure that your child is in school on time every day so that they can get the full benefit of all that the school has to offer.
220 children were taken out of school last half term during the school day to attend medical and dental appointments. This number is unacceptable. Whenever possible, routine medical and dental appointments must be made outside the school day. Only emergency appointments, will be authorised, and we will be requesting medical/dental evidence upon their return.
