At Pudsey Bolton Royd we are proud to provide enabling environments that spark the children’s imagination and creativity both indoors and outdoors. We develop children’s natural desire to learn and their early years’ experience with us develops independent thinking.
The early years are some of the most important years in a child’s life and education. They build the foundations for life-long learning and are the beginnings of their journey to be the adults of tomorrow. Through our caring relationships with children and their parents, we build on what the children already know and can do.
“You’re off to great places. Today is your day.
Your mountain is waiting. So…. get on your way!” – Dr. Seuss
In Reception your child will develop their ability to explore and investigate, through play-based learning. As well as learning through play, children also work closely with the staff through adult-directed activities to introduce or practise new skills.
We embed positive attitudes to learning, as well as building strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematical skills, which will give them the readiness for the National Curriculum at Key Stage One. Most of all, we encourage and support children to become confident and independent learners with a positive attitude for the rest of school life and beyond!
“Tell me and I forget.
Teach me and I remember.
Involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin
