A fantastic website offering a wide range of resources: books for children to read online, videos of authors reading books, spelling ideas as well as free printable resources too.
Two websites that have plenty of phonics games for EYFS & KS1 children to use to practise applying their phonic knowledge.
These websites are packed with tonnes of fun and interactive games covering a wide range of English areas. The games are split into age ranges and cover all ages for primary children.
Learn English Kids is brought to you by the British Council, and has lots of free online games, songs, stories and activities for children. For parents, there are articles on supporting children in learning English and videos on using English at home.
With character quizzes, illustration tutorials, and interactive games, the Book Trust makes story time fun for the whole family.
Free home learning packs & books and library challenges, quizzes, discussion guides, games and stories written by children for children! There’s also online lessons posted each day and an app that you can download too.
At 11am each day, comedian-turned-children’s book author, David Walliams, will read aloud a story from his World’s Worst Children collection. The daily readings, which you can listen to on his website, will be available for free for 30 days.
Whether you’re looking for help with grammar, reading or writing, this BBC website is full of videos, games and activities that support your children’s learning.
